adding and subtracting fractions


1.       Miriam and Izabella shared a candy bar. Miriam ate 8/12 and Izabella ate ¼ of the candy bar. What fraction of the candy bar did Miriam and Izabella eat altogether?








2.       Ms. Gordillo collected graph paper from her students at the beginning of the year. The first month she used 1/8 of the paper.
